Ellie Goulding – Under The Sheets

Under The Sheets is hyped-for-2010-type Ellie Goulding’s debut single, released in November. She’s part of the Neon Gold clan that seem to have been invented especially for our ears. The song is huge with big drums and Ellie’s unique voice shines. She could be singing double dutch and it would still sound beautiful. It’s clearly influenced by acoustic folk and electronica, call it folktronica and we might have to hurt you because it doesn’t sound like a ridiculous sub-genre of something or other. It sounds like a pop song and it sounds totally unique. It’s all about her voice and the amazing production. We can’t wait for a whole album of this. In the mean time listen to Wish I Stayed and Starry Eyed.
