Daisy Dares You – Number One Enemy (feat. Chipmunk)

“Take off/ take off/ Daisy’s ‘bout to take off” Chipmunk sings on this upbeat first single from 16 year old Daisy Dares You and from where we stand it looks like it’s true. She’s being tipped as a ‘going to do quite well in 2010’ type by many including the BBC Sound of 2010 list and from the songs we’ve heard, especially this one, we can see why.  Her songs are bouncy guitar pop, sung well and full of teen angst but she stresses her songs aren’t about boys. Number One Enemy is about not being someone’s Number One Enemy and wanting to make up with them. The chorus is so big and catchy that it’s impossible not to love it. The line “I, I, I may be the one to blame sometimes but I want it like it was before, like it was was befoooooore” is a really great sounding line in the song. Chipmunk’s contribution only certifies that a lot of people think that this song and Daisy are going to be big.
