Root around the sofa: 18/01/2010
This week is a good week for you single-buying types. MAMMOTH. Root around the sofa for any spare pennies you may find because you’ll probably want to spend them this week.
Alexandra Burke – Broken Heels
A highlight from the album (which we reviewed last year) and a good choice for second single this Red One-produced ‘romp’ about being a better dancer in broken heels is great.
Example – Won’t Go Quietly
(Something hilarious along the lines of: Leading by Example, An Example of a brilliant song etc. here – Ed) We reviewed this last week.
Girls Can’t Catch – Echo
When a group is really rubbish there’s something strangely captivating about it. It’s a shame that Girls Can’t Catch are just average.
HURTS – Wonderful Life (Arthur Baker Remix)
Goes on about someone called Susie for a bit before kicking in to an amazing chorus. It’s all very well done. We reviewed the original version last week.
N-Dubz – Playing With Fire (feat. Mr Hudson)
Na na naiiiiidon’t think so.
Verdict: What we’ve done, quite cleverly, is we’ve given some positive reviews and some negative reviews. Now with this information YOU choose which singles you buy.
